The Nigerian government has not been at peace since Mazi Nnamdi Kanu took over the mantle of leadership of Biafra, which was followed by civil disobedience and diplomatic moves to restore Biafra. In order to counter IPOB, the Nigerian government resorted to coercion and bribery to get journalists to distort the truth. The recent news carried by Sahara reporters that “IPOB’s sit-at-home is to be observed only in South East region” is a good example of the misinformation embarked upon by some media houses, sponsored by the government to deceive citizens. It is fault full information before men and women of good will and good thoughts around the world.

This is not the first time the indigenous people of Biafra are observing their Sit-at-home to respect their fallen heroes. Sahara reporters failed to give accurate report on IPOB past 30TH of May observations, but very fast to distort the truth and misinform the public. That is not good journalism.
Biafra is not only for Southeast alone. Biafra includes; Southeast, Southsouth, Lower Benue, and Kogi. Before the British divide and rule system of government in Nigeria, Biafra territory were all known as the "Bight of Biafra" and after the creation of Nigeria, they were also known as the "Old Eastern region " the divide and rule tactic came into existence immediately after the war between Biafra and Nigeria in 1970.

Nigerian government successfully divided Biafra into two "Southeast and Southsouth” just to create discord among them, which has become the major challenge in the region today that somebody from Southsouth finds it difficult to agree with his or her brother from the southeast. Just like the adage, "you can deceive some people sometimes, but you cannot deceive all the people all the time". Yes, the Nigerian government has been enjoying their divide and rule system, which they learnt from their British masters against the indigenous people of Biafra.

The emergence of the great leader of the indigenous people of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who came as a Messiah has opened the eyes of his people to understand the mess the Nigerian government with the help of their slave masters the British government has subjugated them into. The people have realized that they are one people, those living in Southeast and Southsouth including Kogi people and those from the lower Benue. Nnamdi Kanu used last May 30 SIT-AT-HOME protest to show the world the Biafra territory, the Heroes Remembrance Day was observed even in northern and western Nigeria by Biafrans living there. There was a total shut down in all parts of Biafra land (south-south, Southeast, kogi and Benue) just to show that they are Biafrans.

2018 SIT-AT-HOME will not be exceptional. The people have decided to remember those who were killed during and after the war and there is nothing anybody can do about it. SIT-AT-HOME is very simple. Since churches are no longer safe for the people of Biafra to go in and pray for God to accept the souls of the departed loved ones, they decided to stay indoors and pray to their God. The truth remains, the dead must be remembered. IPOB must spread the gospel everywhere in the world because 30th of May 2018 shall be greater than previous ones.
