BIAFRA: BIAFRA: COURT UPDATE OF TUESDAY 17, APRIL 2018 MAGISTRATE COURT SEATING IN ABAKALIKI FAILED TO HEAR THE CASE BETWEEN NIGERIA POLICE FORCE AND IPOB.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) gathered on Tuesday 17, April 2018 with hope that the case between Nigeria police force and seven members of the union that was arrested on Saturday 21, March 2018 and charged to magistrate court in Abakaliki will be heard by the court but was dismayed when they got the late information that the case will no longer be heard following the reason given by the magistrate who is presiding over the case, Mrs stellar Ugoeke that she wants to take a break for the day.

Meanwhile the court passed the motion filed in by the defending counsel praying the court to mandate the police to release the accused persons property and items under their custody, therefore the court after hearing this motion mandated the police to release the accused persons property under their custody which include two vehicles, bag of rice, food items and other valuables. The items and property are anticipated to be released by tomorrow being Wednesday 18, march 2018 when all the required documents that was not able to be signed due to time factors will be signed.

The matter was adjourned to Tuesday 15, May 2018 for hearing of the three count charges leveled on the seven accused persons which bothers on unlawful society, association with a proscribed group and trying to lure people into joining  the proscribed IPOB group.
