The recent statement credited to the Chairman of the forum and former President General of the Apex Igbo socio-cultural organization,  Ohaneze Ndigbo , Dr Dozie Ikedife in most Nigerian newspapers published on Tuesday 20th February 2018 stating in clear terms that the South East Elders will support the Sudanese representative in Aso-Rock if he contest again for the upcoming 2019 general election has created an impression that we have no elder in  south-east Biafra Land . We only have Abuja /Lagos expressway errand jobbers who are less ashamed of themselves. They Worth zero percent of out respects, that's the reason they should be given red cards.

Who is an elder?

One common trait among elders is a deep spirituality that influences every aspect of their lives and teachings. They strive to show by example - by living their lives according to deeply ingrained principles, values, and teachings. Being an Elder is not defined by age, but rather Elders are recognized because they have earned the respect of their community through wisdom, harmony, and balance of their actions in their teachings.

From the look of things, the above qualities are nowhere to be found among those who claim to be elders.

As a legitimate child of the soil, who was born, grown and has lived in Biafra land for the past twenty years, I was able to hear the past histories about my ancestors both great and small. It displeases me to see how my ancestry present generation sold out the integrity, self-esteem, respect and honor that has lived before them. Most times, I do imagine how the present elders from the lineage of Eri and Arodi became this timid and useless before their enemies.

There's an adage which states ”an elder does not stay at home and watch the goat delivering while on a rope ".

The present elders have watched the innocent goats delivered while on the rope and this has amounted to the deaths of many.

From the first day that president Buhari was sworn into office till date, there has not been any form of good intentions displayed towards the Easterners; but why will they ever think of voting him again when all and sundry are lamenting over his clueless mess?

Is it not laughable that a stranger has ruled the country for almost one year, while these so-called elders watch stupidly? This is the only situation where a blind man is leading those that are not seeing.

Without being told, the recent APC leadership under dictator Buhari is so epileptic, especially to Biafrans.

Southeast elders have proven that they have been in support of the Nigerian government's brutal approach to the Indigenous People of Biafra that left tears and agony on the eyes and in the hearts of every motherhood.

Southeast elders have also proven that they had supported the illegal killings and detentions of Biafrans, especially citizen Nnamdi Kanu.

Now I know better than these irate irresponsible self-acclaimed have hands in the Fulani herdsmen menace rampaging the whole country. Southeast elders are responsible for the death of those innocent people slain by Fulani herdsmen across the country.

If argumentatively someone wants to prove me wrong, why should these elders be thinking of supporting someone like Muhammadu Buhari for a second tenor knowing the full history of his leadership so far?

It's obvious that we do not have elders anymore. Maybe they think that being an elder is when they put on a red cap and grey hairs are seen on their heads then automatically they are elders. The former glory, respect, honor, and integrity has been lost and exchanged for Crumb's sake. Their actions and inactions have great contributions in the current fate we are faced with.

It may be necessary to remind Dr. Dozie Ikedife and his stooge group that past Anambra gubernatorial election has shown and proven that Biafrans are no longer interested in Nigeria elections. IPOB under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has fought vigorously for the restoration of the prestigious nation that we shall be proud and happy to call our own. Various casualties, deaths, incarcerations, illegal detentions etc have been the heresy, but we have remained resolute and determined to champion this fight in truth and honesty for the good of all Biafrans.

The least that is expected of the leadership of Ohanaeze/South East elders at this time is to appreciate and commend the IPOB for giving the Igbo people and the entire Biafrans of a voice to be heard and a place to anchor while pursuing their rightful property. The chairman of the forum by the reckless statement he has made regarding the interest of his cohorts to support another election amidst the sacrilegious acts committed against our land is a grievous act of ingratitude to IPOB, as well as the betrayal and sabotage of the Biafran's collective aspiration. Neither Afenifere nor Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Ohanaeze counterparts in Yoruba and the North, will never be caught undermining the collective aspiration of their people.

Having said that, we demand the shameless forum of south-east elders to withdraw such statement and start immediately to give reasonable contributions to the well being of their people or risk being banished from Biafra land.
