Barely 24 Hours after it announced the second phase of  their python dance code-named "oppression python dance II" in the Southeastern part of the country, the Nigerian military invaded the home Town of the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on Sunday 10th of September 2017, with armored tanks, military vans and Hillux vans full of military men. On arrival at the residence of Mazi Kanu, they started shooting sporadically without minding the environment where men, women and children were busy going about their businesses. The incident that took place some minutes after 6 (six) in the evening took away about 3 innocent souls with more than 30 others injured.

Reacting to this very evil carried out by the Nigerian soldiers, the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu said that " I was resting when one of my colleagues drew my attention that soldiers invaded my house, they started shooting sporadically and 3 innocent people died instantly. Their actions were a crude show of power on innocent and defenceless people of Biafra, "they wanted to kill me but couldn't penetrate".

This is unacceptable to any right-thinking human being. The Nigerian government is only trying to push IPOB to the wall, which the international community and other Human Rights organizations have confirmed, as IPOB is a peaceful organization. The Nigerian government is pushing IPOB to pick up arms seeing that IPOB does not want to engage them in any war. Even though there is a provision for the right of self defense yet the people have declared that picking up arms will not be part of their strategy for the struggle and the Nigerian government has seen that as an opportunity to eliminate them by force.

Finally, the main purpose of the soldiers invasion in Kanu's compound comprised many things as people gave their different points of view while such act was made. According to Nwaole Okechukwu who made the first call to the Abia Writers said " the Nigerian government think that Nnamdi Kanu has weapons in his house, they sent the soldiers to force him (Nnamdi Kanu) to pick up arm's and fight back but thanks to God Kanu has no weapon.

Since they have tried to provoke IPOB to pick up arms without success, they reasoned that if they invade the home of the leader of IPOB to kill or arrest him, for sure we will react because they know how much we love our leader. Unfortunately, we disappointed them. That is why the soldiers have nothing to say about the incident, rather they are trying like a drowning man to clutch at any strand to save their face.

Meanwhile, the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) have vowed to die than the Nigerian government to take away their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
