A credible information from a reliable source reaching the desk of Abia writers today being Sunday, the 6th of August 2017 has it that as early as of quater past seven 7:15 am today, unknown gun men invaded St. Phillip Catholic Church in Amankwo Ozubulu in Egwusigo local government area of Anambra state and opened fire on innocent worshipers claiming about 21 lives instantly while many sustained injuries. Meanwhile, those who sustained injuries have been rushed to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi.

There has been series of questions going on in the state of Anambra as to what could have caused the tragedy. It is exactly one week today when some members of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) stormed the same church where the governor of the state Willie Obiano was campaigning for the upcoming election as the people stood to declare that they don't want to vote again until a date for referendum is announced.

It was gathered that Willie Obiano was embarrassed based on what happened inside the church. Today, many are saying that it is because of what happened last week on Sunday 30th of July 2017 that the Governor has retaliated through a bloody attack upon the innocent civilians. They are right any way, and this is what we have been passing through. Our votes means death to us; so in order to save our lives from this bloody Nigerian politicians, we must boycott all elections to be conducted in Biafra land.

Let it be known to the world that Nigeria means nothing to us the poor masses because we are the ones suffering it all. There is no assurance of security, No good road, no good hospital, nothing to hope for or rely on in the Nigerian system of government.

The silence of the United Nations over the issue of Biafra is causing more damage to the lives of the poor masses. Although there is a provision for self-determination in the United Nations chatter on the right for indigenous people, yet the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) have been going through tortuous treatment as though their quest is out of place. Not minding the suffering though IPOB has resolved to follow due process in pursuit of their right for self-determination. The world must understand that freedom is what every man need. Biafra is an ideology, which no one can fight. Nigerian government must stop using force on IPOB citizens.

It is also in our history that Igbo man cannot kill because they value human life more than any other thing on earth, even as they described human being as "Nma Ndu" which means the beauty of life.
