It's yet another court case, hope not to be another dramatic event as it has always been; the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu alongside three others will be appearing before the trial Judge Binta Nyako of Federal High Court Abuja today being the 25th day of April 2017.
The case proceedings are on the outcome of the last court held on 5th April 2017, by the same trial judge. Facts involving the application of secret trial as filed by the prosecutors whose aim features the inevitable jail of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu without proper justifications, with the aid of the Nigerian government.
Recall that this very application has once been slashed out by Justice Ademola before he hands off the case; therefore, granting an unconditional release to the accused. Unfortunately, the Nigerian government has always flouted court orders regarding the unconditional release of citizen Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The world should also realize that on 1st March 2017, trial Justice Binta Nyako slashed out six count charges against citizen Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, maintaining that the charges lacked merits. More so, Justice Binta Nyako on the spot declared the activities of the Indigenous People Of Biafra legal, which also accustoms a great immunity on the leader of IPOB.
Justice Binta Nyako has scheduled the case hearing on the proper ruling of secret trial and the implementation of Sharia Law against the civil law guiding the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. As alleged by the Nigerian government, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is facing a treasonable felony, and has refused to be tried in secret; rather, he must be tried openly.
The Nigerian government as always known is a circular state with a federal constituency of its own. Any trial means involving Sharia law is totally condemned and unacceptable to Biafrans; before humanity, it's the greatest form of injustice prevaricating issues.
Biafrans from different parts of the earth are to be gathered today, just as it has always been. Though today's court case will surely mark the great difference, as Biafrans kids are expected to storm the court premises in protest for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
