It is almost four years since the inception of the present administration in Nigerian. During the last electioneering process and campaign in 2014 that ushered in the current president of Nigeria, there was controversy on the non-availability of the minimum educational requirement of the then-presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (A.P.C) Mohammed Buhari. The law stipulates that an aspirant to the office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria must present at least the West African School Certificate or it’s equivalent.

The then-candidate of APC, who happens to be the present president of Nigeria, could not present this minimum requirement. The northern Islamic cabal manipulated the system and rigged him into office. To show how deep this country, Nigeria is in corruption and nepotism especially the political elites, no single politician raised an objection to ask or sue the then-candidate, Muhammadu Buhari. Neither did anybody question the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) on the unavailability of the candidate’s minimum educational certificate as the electoral act demands.

This happened because the northern Islamic political elites and their counterparts from the west and middle belt were bent on removing the then president Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, from the east and install their preferred candidate who will implement their Islamic and northern agenda. They rigged in a man without the minimum certificate and the electoral commission  (INEC), did not disqualify the president because the head of INEC, Professor Attahiru Jega was amongst the political conspirators and cabals. One Barrister Nnamdi challenged the lack of the minimum required education certificate of the president at the Nigerian corrupt and manipulated court, but the case was struck out that it lacks merit.

The same political elites and cabals who rigged the president into office are now bent on removing the same president and substitute him with another Fulani in the person of Atiku Abubakar to continue with the Islamic agenda and conquest of Christians in Nigeria. That is why they now remember that he does not have the minimum education requirement, so they brought the issue of the certificate. To perpetuate themselves in office, the cabal went to WAEC and procured a fake certificate.

It’s unfortunate for the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to be used to perpetrate this fraudulent act of the Nigerian government. This shows that certificates can be bought from WAEC and that was how Nigerian politicians bought their certificates, and this will reduce or remove the credibility and respect the examination council enjoyed around the world.

The implications of the involvement of WAEC in this certificate saga will spell doom for the council and the students of West Africa that will want to work or study in other countries abroad and submit results or certificate from the examination council. The school or institutions abroad will not trust the certificate, they will take the certificate as being forged or bought. So I urge all the countries that use WAEC, as an examination body to start looking for alternative examination body that will have credibility around the world because WAEC has been corrupted, bastardized and as such has lost its credibility.
